The Reel McCoy specializes in inshore light tackle fishing for striped bass using both live and fresh, dead bait.  Both spinning and conventional tackle are available.  Trips for fishing Narragansett Bay and the inshore reefs depart from Bristol, RI.  Trips fishing around Block Island depart from Pt. Judith, RI.

Other fishing trips include bottom/structure fishing trips for sea bass, fluke, and scup where similar light tackle is used.  Fresh, dead bait is usually used for this type of fishing.

For tuna and shark trips, standup tackle is used.  Both spinning and conventional tackle are available for these trips, although there are occasions where the conventional tackle is strongly recommended.  Live bait, fresh dead baits, and artificial baits are used for this fishing.  Shark fishing trips depart from Pt. Judith, RI.  Tuna fishing trips depart from either Sandwich, MA or Plymouth, MA.
